In all the natural dyes, Onion is prized for its yellow. Most people let the onion skins soak, drain the dye, and then put in the egg. I left the egg in the bed of onion skins and got a really good dye job. I'm thinking about doing it again, and using it as a base for something else. Haven't gotten farther along that this, yet.
Nearly 40 years ago I walked in to the Ukrainian Gift Shoppe in St. Paul, Minnesota, and walked out with several beautiful eggs. Thus starts a collection. Only a few are highly valuable, but they are all prized and enjoyed
