DRAMA EGG
Made this one for my daughter, the drama teacher, but she's never taken it home, so here it sits in my cabinet and rolls back and forth between tragedy and comedy.

SPRING TIME  L.D.S.EGG
It took me several tries to get this egg right.  I've got so many L.D.S. symbols on it and I wanted it right, and I got it.  The Book of Mormon, and the golden stairs, the ocean waves on both sides of the brick walls of the fountain, the temple with CTR, the 3 degrees and the tree of life, all on one egg with Moroni at the top of the temple

SPRINGTIME BASKET OF FLOWERS
That off angle divider is a little tough to lay out, but I do like the "playing" field that you get and have used it several time.  Psyanky is limited by only your imagination, and I have a very large imagination.  Just wish I had as much time.

SPRINGTIME RAINBOWS AND FLOWERS
Yes, it really is a hippie egg.  The rainbow was a patience project in Psyanky, I'm very disappointed it has faded so badly.  Did not know the dyes would fade in the sun and unless I find the right bumpy egg, I can't redo it.  But it's still pretty.

SPRINGTIME TRADITIONAL
As I said, I've done traditional Psyanky, but frequently not in traditional colors.  Some times the amount of black on traditional eggs makes me wonder why anyone would want black on an egg that was for a Springtime celebration.  I love the longer days of spring.  More sunlight makes me a happier person.

SPRINGTIME
Took a Psyanky class about 20 years ago and continually play with it.  Yes, I make some traditional one, but I find the art very useful for other designs.  This just happens to be on of my favorites.  I love butterflies and was able to make duplicates on each side of the egg, wings just barely touching.
It makes it home on my Springtime display.

STUFFED EGG
Somedays I think I could make 100 of these.  Their so easy, and use up all those little scraps and bits of fabric and lace, and besides they're great for tossing at each other.  I remember a day when I toss one, didn't mean to do this it, but it hit the vac tech right in the back of the head, like he had a target there.  He turned and accused the other vac tech of tossing it, and I was laughing so hard I couldn't apologize and take the blame.  Did eventually, but it too a good long minute.

CRAZY QUILT EGG
I sew.  I have lots of fabric.  I have lots of Christmas fabric, and ribbon, and cording, and lace and appliques and this egg is just not large enough for all of it, But this is enough....oh wait, I could add a bit of........SHHHHHHHHHH

CHRISTMAS NATIVITY
But not all of my Christmas eggs are ornaments.  Some simply and beautifully tell the Christmas story.  I'm amazed at the small carving, and the white of this egg almost glows.

CHRISTMAS
Who thinks of eggs at Christmas?   Apparently a whole lot of people.  I have enough Christmas Ornament eggs to fill a small tree.  This was part of Mom's estate, my collections a good place for them.
HALLOWEEN TREE
All together now, and I wish you a Happy Halloween, All Hallows Eve, or what eve you chose to call it.

HALLOWEEN VULTURE
Looking at a cartoon vulture the egg body just came naturally.  Some day's he's hard to find in the tree.
HALLOWEEN CANDY CORN
I initially did this one in Pysanky dyes, but they sun faded so bad, I had to go over them with Sharpie.  Yeah, for all the colors of Sharpie

HALLOWEEN ANOTHER PUMPKIN
And another one that needs both sides shown.  Frown on one side, smile on the other.  I've made pumpkins that way, why not an egg

HALLOWEEN MOONLIGHT
Maybe I should post both sides of some of these eggs.  Thanks goodness for the edit feature.  Owl on one side, witch on the other, perfect Halloween moon.  Ok, so the moon's not egg shaped, but....

HALLOWEEN GHOSTS
Almost too easy to make, just cover enough of the egg with the bees wax and then dip them in black dye.  but it is fun to play with the expressions

HALLOWEEN EGG
Grave markers, skeletons, witches, eyes in the dark, all make a very fun egg set for Halloween night.  Psyanky really has some abilities once you walk away from Easter

HALLOWEEN WISHES
The old (I think) Irish blessing, get turned around to a wish for good time on All Hallows Eve.  I made this saying on a hoodie several years ago, and recently had to remade it.  It's a fun statement of Halloween
'WITH Ghosties and Goulies and Long Legged Beasties, and things that go bump in the night.....LET'S PARTY."

HALLOWEEN SPIDER
Very simple, very psyanky, but the tree really needed this one to be complete.  I've since seen better and my try and remake this one...but for now it's just fine.

HALLOWEEN-FRANKENSTEIN
Another Halloween charatee that fit so well on an egg.  Yes, he is missing the flat head, but I'll look past that.

HALLOWEEN-SKULL
No joke, skulls are very easy and very egg shaped. Kinda "Spooky"

PUMPKIN EGG
Eggs are not just for Easter anymore.  Probably 10 years ago I saw an egg and suddenly saw a pumpkin.  One lead to another, and that lead to a tree.  Well, you can't just have pumpkins on a tree, so in those wee hours of the night, other Halloween ideas came forth, until I have a complete Halloween tree.  Here's #1

WHITE BOUDOIR EGG
Reach into the button box, grab some brocade fabric, some fringe you just happen to have just enough of, and this is what you get.  Now, what to do with it????

4TH OF JULY PYSANKY
Not one of the easiest Pysanky's I've ever done.  Those ribbons were a pain to make sure I the right amount in and nice long strands.  For only 3 colors, it took a long time.

CARVED EMU
Took most of the summer of 2010 to make this one.  Had to find the Aboriginal type drawings, then had to work at at keeping my layers this side of going thru.  Egg dust is a danger so it needs to be done, best outside.  Wish I could show all four sides.  I tried to capture Australia in all of the drawing, and think I did a pretty good job, while showing the varying colors of the layers.

LION PAINTED ON A QUAIL EGG
Somehow that just struck me as the right egg to add to my collection.  The booth at the Renaissance Fair is still there and I still have a problem walking past it each year we go.  But for now, this is the keeper.

SUGAR EGG
I built a number of these when the kids where little.  Somewhere around 1994, I keep thinking I should remake it.  Sugar collects dust, ages, the icing fades, but this one stays put until the day I do.

RESURRECTION STORY EGGS
These were quite popular several years ago.  Buy a dozen plastic egg.  Fill them with a piece of paper that has the scriptures that tell the Easter story, one per egg. Put the bits and pieces of the Easter story (small nails, a small wooden cross made from toothpicks, 4 dimes for the pieces of silver, you get the idea) and sit your children down and have them open the eggs and tell the Easter Story.  The last egg is empty, just like the tomb.  That wasn't good enough for my mother.  She was quite a good artist, so her eggs go painted with the story too.  Tear drops, a crown of thorns, flowers, each egg got painted to match the story.  Wonderful job, wonderful way to teach.  Wonderful member of my collection.

CHRISTMAS WAX EGG
I have an egg mold and have made many.  Haven't done anything with them except burn them, they do burn neatly, but this one will never see a match.  Even though I watched them put this one together in the shop, I'm still amazed at how it's done.

CROCHET EGG 2
This one I did, mostly to see if I could.  I had found some shiny metallic painted eggs and started playing with them.  This is the only one I felt good enough to put in the cabinet.  The rest?  Not sure where they got off too.  Probably in the bottom of some box and the grandkids play with them.

CERAMIC MEMORY
I've had the egg for many years, in fact I think you're looking at the 3rd coat of paint it's had.  I just didn't get it right until I painted it gloss white, put on the lavender, then wiped if off so that the white shows thru, it really does look like lace.  Added the silver and dark purple accents, made the base silver and dark purple and put our wedding photo inside that it finally became established in my collection.  This one does please me.

MOTHER'S DAY EGG
As silly as this egg sounds, I really like it.  It's a memory of a good time as well as a pretty egg.

CROCHET EGG #1
Crocheted in two halves, put over a plastic egg, then starched with sugar.  The ribbon hides the seam once the plastic egg was removes.  Kinda fancy and totally cool.  Thanks Mom.

VALENTINES DISPLAY
All together in a display that I can show of in February, and not to just show off my love of eggs.  I picked those particular candy hearts of a reason.    Still feel like I could an one more, on the base, maybe a horizontal style, but haven't found it yet.  Don't think I done.

VALENTINE WASHI FLORAL
Found a wonderful paper with all kinds of flowers on it and thought I would finally try my hand a Washi paper.  It's an oriental technique that requires you to cut paper until it sort of looks like a picket fence then carefully cover the egg so there are no creases or wrinkles on the paper as it covers the egg.  MESSY!.  Lots of patience and glue.  But pleasing.

VALENTINES  VINED HEARTS
Took a long time, and I tried several methods to make sure I none of the final red dye.  I was looking for valentines motif that I hadn't seen and vine style hearts just seemed right.

VALENTINES HEARTS & FLOWERS
This one was not as easy as it looks.  Remember I'm not an artist, but I wanted this one to have the feel of a lace doily.  Think I did it.  Eggs are not just for Easter, became a rally point for me and while I've done several holidays, I'm not sure I'm done.

MOONSTONE EGG
A particular stone that amost glows from the inside.  I'm glad I finally added this to the collection.  It's one of those eggs you can hold and see the play of colors inside.  Almost like an opal, but not as defined.

VERY IMITATION JEWELED EGG
     Not joking.  Got handed a pile of Swarovski sequins and one cold nasty winter day, I took them, a plain wooden egg, a bunch of glue and my patience and worked it all together.  It works and will probably continue to take up space in the cabinet until something better comes along.;
TIE-DYED EGG
Yes, ties, those lovely silk ties need a very heavy dye to get a vivid as they are, and that dye will transfer with the help of some hot water and vinegar to an egg shell.  Ever needed an excuse to get rid of a tie or two of your hubbie?  Now you have an excuse, and the kids can have some fun.  Luckily, I have tie fabric scraps from projects left over from my days working in a Sew & Vac Shop.

MY MOTHER'S GARDEN
Around 2002 my mother, in Los Angeles started playing with er garden/backyard.  She build a fish pond out of bricks, laid down brick pathways, put up hummingbird feeders.  Added Passion Fruit vines to her already established fruit trees, strawberry patch, put in roses, and all kinds of ground cover.  It was just a really fairy garden.  Gazing balls, lots of wind chimes, whirly-gigs and yard toys.  I captured it on Psyanky egg and gave it to her.  It was really one of the most important things for me to take from her estate.

GOOFY EGG 2
2013 Hobby Lobby again has some pretty plain goofy eggs.  Wind them up and they hop around.  Add feathers, grandma, and the grandkids have a very fun Easter toy.  Looks so much better with the feathers, made one of two of them with "hawks" (mohawks for the uninformed)

GOOFY EGG 1
2011 Hobby Lobby had these plain blue metal eggs, no faces, no nothing, except the feet.  I could not leave that alone.  Feathers, goofy eyes and a fimo bill and you have a chick trying to decided if he really wants to come out of his shell.  Sometimes I know how that feels.

ONION SKIN EGG
In all the natural dyes, Onion is prized for its yellow.  Most people let the onion skins soak, drain the dye, and then put in the egg.  I left the egg in the bed of onion skins and got a really good dye job.  I'm thinking about doing it again, and using it as a base for something else.  Haven't gotten farther along that this, yet.

MIKE WAZOWSKI AND MY GRANDSON
This one get's two photos. Loretta was teaching me face paints and K was my very patient model.  As I was thinking about what other eggs I wanted to know Mike suddenly had to become part of the gallery.  I've gotten better at the face painting, but I'm not sure I can do better on the egg.  He's just right.   Thanks K

LADYBUG EGG
I have seen several versions of this one, but never with feet, and a ladybug without their 6 legs is just not a ladybug.

DEVILED EGG
I had done several other googly eyed eggs when I woke up one morning and realized, that in all the eggs I had ever done, I was missing one.  Yeah Fimo. He came out rather well and is free standing, which pleases me most.
