They don't get smaller than that, or at least I've never seen one smaller. After 40 years of collecting I had to give up and buy a phony. Not really happy, keep hoping I can get a zoo to sell me one, or something. The egg came with a card I found very funny. "Alert, please keep away from children, they have been known to mistake them for candy." I think I could put up a tic-tack and no one would see the difference.
I had several parakeets as a teen in L.A. but it wasn't until I started learning about eggs that I learned that if a female starts laying eggs, she actually over produce and kill herself. Calcium deficiency. To defeat it you have to put phony eggs in with her until she gets "out of the mood" Parakeets come in all kinds of colors and are really easy to maintain as pets. It takes patience to teach them to talk and mimic, but they learn whistles all on there own. I had one, Percy, that "fell in love" with my brother Warren, and that saved it's life. They would whistle back and forth, and one summer day someone open the front door at the wrong moment and Percy flew right out side. I hollared to my bro, "WHISTLE!" And sure enough Percy whistled back from around the side of the house. Warren put up his finger and Percy, willingly hopped on, and flew to his cage the minute we got in the house. Didn't come out for several days. Agoraphobic? Wouldn't blame him. I understand L.A. has flocks of exotic bird roaming the sky. Escaped pets. Not mine. Thanks Warren.

A friend had a female that was laying eggs and he grabbed me a few to add to my collection. We had a cockatiel, Ke-ke, for several years. He was a delightful companion, noisy and messy, but somehow, quickly learned to mimic my laugh and used it at the most appropriate time. He once hit our large mirror and splayed his feather pattern, almost an art piece, wish we could have figured out how to save it. He and our cat had a few confrontations, and he usually won. His nip was tough. He is occasionally missed.
Also called a Monk Parrot. Noisy little things, good talkers but not as colorful as some of the big parrots. Really popular for pets, There were lots in that aviary and my goodness the noise was amazing when he pulled out a handful of sunflower seed. They do like to cuddle and when they learn to mimic a laugh, they do it often.
